At Luvanex Rehab, our mission statement is
“putting people with disabilities to work”. We provide job training and
employment services to people with disabilities who are having trouble finding
work, wanting to change careers or starting their own business. Through our
help and service, our clients overcome employment problems that may have been
caused by physical or developmental disabilities.
Recent studies have shown that the
provision of ongoing support services for people with severe disabilities
significantly increases their rates for employment retention, thus moving them
from dependence on a service delivery system to total independence via
competitive employment in the society.
Our goal at Luvanex Rehab Services is to help
facilitate competitive employment in work settings for individuals with the
most severe disabilities (mental retardation, psychiatric, learning
disabilities, traumatic brain injury, etc.) for whom competitive employment has
not traditionally occurred because of the nature and severity of their
disability. We do this by assigning job coaches who provide specialized on-site
training in order to assist the employee in learning and performing the job and
adjusting to the work environment. Such ongoing support is always for an
authorized period of time.
